Olson's Tack Shop was founded in 1945 by Carl and Bea Olson. Carl specialized in manufacturing custom saddles and chaps, while his wife provided equine enthusiasts with equestrian-themed giftware. About the same time Claude Mills was producing custom made saddles used by the likes of Queen Elizabeth. A tack shop was opened in Seattle, and then relocated to Bellevue in the 1980's.

Olson-Mills still caters to area horseback riders with a wide array of merchandise designed for both horse and rider. Offering custom made riding boots, chaps, and saddles while offering superior customer service is one of many reasons Olson-Mills has been set apart from competitors.
