Your saddle is perhaps your most important piece of equipment and therefore must be selected carefully and fitted properly to ensure optimum comfort for you and your horse. It is our mission at Olson's Tack Shop to help you find the right saddle, as well as to educate you about what constitutes a correct saddle fit.

Since so many of our valued customers expressed interest in learning more about saddle fitting practices, we decided to create a series of pages dedicated to the subject. Olson's saddle fitting expert, Dawn Anderson is a classically trained dressage rider with a long history in the arena of equestrian sport. Upon joining the Olson's team Dawn became heavily interested in learning about saddle design and fitting after addressing the effects of that a previously ill-fitted saddle had on her own horse. In the time since, Dawn has been devoted to increasing her saddle fitting knowledge by commencing the course work necessary to become a Qualified Saddle Fitter as recognized by the Society of Master Saddlers. Dawn recently travelled to England to complete a seminar in saddle manufacturing and fitting held by the Society of Master Saddlers. Olson's is proud to have such an accomplished individual on-staff to offer her experience and expertise to our customers! As a non-commissioned sales associate, Dawn is deeply committed to finding the right saddle for you and your horse, whether it's a brand-new custom saddle or a saddle that's on consignment.
